We all love external validation. Compliments, praise, likes — it’s fast and it works… for a moment.

But it’s also transactional. Like paying fifty cents for water.

In this talk, I use the metaphor of digging a well to explain the difference between chasing validation and building something deeper. Internal validation takes longer and requires more effort, but once it’s there, it lasts.
